BLS _ Basic Life SavinG

The BLS Course (Basic Life Saving) is designed for those individuals working in the healthcare industry.  It is suitable for doctors, nurses, and caregivers.  It provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest and teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in the prehospital environment as well as in-facility environments.  We focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.  The course covers adult, child and infant CPR with rescue breathing (one and two rescuer), use of a bag mask, foreign-body airway obstruction treatment for conscious and unconscious victims, and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator).

This course is approximately 3 hours in length.  Participants must complete a 25-question written exam and pass a skill check in order to receive a Healthcare Provider Card (course completion card).

CPR REFRESHER COURSE

This is a refresher course for individuals who have previously taken a CPR and AED course.  The course covers a review of CPR, choking, and use of an AED with plenty of hands-on skills training.  The course is approximately 2 hours long and meets OSHA Standard:  1910.151

Heartsaver

The Heartsaver course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  This course covers care for adults, children, and infants and is an excellent course for preschool teachers, babysitters, dental assistants, office personnel, lifeguards, restaurant employees, coaches, daycare providers, new parents, fitness instructors, teachers, and anyone with children or elderly family members.  Childcare providers may be required to take a Pediatric Only Heartsaver Course.  Please check with your employer or compliance coordinator to decide which course meets your needs.

This course is approximately 5-6 hours in length, depending on the number of students and the amount of time spent on skills review.  This course meets OSHA Standard: 1910.151.

Friends and Family CPR

The Family & Friends® CPR Course is a video-based, classroom course intended for anyone who wants to learn CPR and prefers to learn in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment. This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements. Family & Friends CPR is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
